Godkin Design/Build, Inc. was founded in 2016.  We believe that the best work comes from the collaboration of good people inspired by the best intentions.  Our mission is to provide high-quality design and construction solutions to our clients, from large ground-up design and construction projects to the smallest of remodels and additions.  We find design solutions that maximize the quality of spaces in which you live, work, and play.

john godkin

John is a licensed contractor with over 40 years of design and construction experience.  He ran John Godkin Construction as well as S & J Development before co-founding Godkin Design/Build, Inc.  He has a fine arts degree from Brooks Institute and enjoys creating beautiful art when he's not creating beautiful buildings.  You can find his art website - John Godkin Fine Art - here.

shawn godkin

Shawn is a licensed architect and LEED AP.  He worked at Perkins+Will, AECOM, and EDAW before co-founding Godkin Design/Build, Inc.  He received his bachelors degree from Occidental College and his masters from Arizona State University.  Shawn also teaches two design classes at the University of Southern California in their Masters in Real Estate Development program.
